[Twenty Sixth Letter from Seoul, Korea] No worries, I'm still alive!

If you read newspaper or turn on the TV, it won't be hard to find the news about 'North Korea's sudden attack on Yeon-Pyung-Do', South Korea.
Yes, I'm still alive, and no more worries~
Many times ago, I told you Koreans have 'Safety Insensitivity', can you remember it?
But everything has been changed since last March attack on the Korean submarine, and also this one. Total 4 people's dead and 2 of them were just Korean civilians. Few hours ago, two dead soldiers' funeral was on the air, and there was no way other than crying. I felt this situation is sooooo miserable.
My mother firstly told me,
"You'd better to move another country to live your safe life."
As you know me, you could also have an idea my father's working for the Ministry of National Defense, and my younger brother is in the military school to be a pilot. So, I could say my families' quite related on this current issue. Whenever these happen, it's always my job to take care everybody's all right. Actually, my father was all caught in the bunker, and my brother also wouldn't visit home as he usually does.
The causes are 'S.Korea's military training with US' which starts from tomorrow, Sunday. S.Korean government sent a resentful message towards North Korea not to make such crazy war-like situation again.
The island, Yeon-Pyung-Do is actually located right next to the border between South and North. 1300 residents all have been evacuated and stayed in In-cheon. As the huge military training starts from tomorrow, this border area is getting serious to make the peninsula safe.
I am personally not okay with this issue and everybody does, here definitely. Nobody believes war would happen again, however, we're way more cautious than ever. Most topics are all about North Korea's attack thesedays.
No worries, I'm still alive, and I'll keep my writing unless something blocks me. :)
This above weblink shows articles that I'm reading also. As I've linked before, Chosun-il-bo is one of the most biggest and well-known conservative-represent newspaper company. Please read them more, and let's share the same idea with me!
More than tight hugs,
Sun Kim
